Job Description: The Document Controller maintains and manages all Engineering related documents for the entire organization and assures that they are easily accessible and stored. He or she also maintains and examines related files to release blueprints, drawings, and engineering documents to manufacturing and other operating departments. Must Have Coordinate all activities related to the Document Control procedure, including technical documents, drawings, and technical writing Input document data into the standard registers ensuring that the information is accurate and up to date, including the Drawing List spreadsheets for each job Generate Bills of Materials within the ERP system ( Visual Manufacturing ) Typing of support documents, manuals, instructions and SOPs Makes sure that controlled copies of latest approved documents and drawings are distributed to the appropriate staff, subcontractors and suppliers as applicable Maintain updated records of all approved documents and drawings and their distribution clearly Maintain the documents and drawings on the Server related to drawings Maintain the files, control logs & archives as required by the company Progress requests for Job Computers, software and Engineering supplies Desirable Create drawings in 2D / 3D using Solidworks Load Job Computers with required software and test to ensure successful installs
The client would prefer contractor for few months and then convert into permanent job, but will hire permanent for the start also. Education and Training Requirements: At least Vocational Diploma/Certificate from a 2 year Technical course At least 2 year related work experience in office work, documentation and control Knowledge of Engineering disciplines like Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Skills and Competency Requirements: Knowledge in use of spreadsheets, database, word processing and selected job specific software Ability to keep clear and accurate records and reports Ability to use computer and rapidly input data and retrieve records and information Ability to organize work load and to manage a filing methods and management techniques Good Verbal & Written communication skill set Special Considerations: No sponsorships US Citizen or Green Card Holder only – ITAR related activities Must pass background & drug check Benefits include competitive salary, flexible working hours, medical and dental plan, 401(k) plan, life insurance, disability insurance & tuition reimbursement.
