West Virginia University Alumni Association, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Director of Development (Assistant Director NC .197). The selected candidate will primarily be responsible for assisting the Alumni Association’s staff, Board of Directors and the WVU Foundation in developing and implementing the Unit’s comprehensive development and stewardship program. The incumbent will also plan, execute and evaluate development related special events.
The ideal candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree. Degrees in Public Relations, Business, Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related field are preferred. The position requires two (2) years of experience in planning and managing special events and fundraising activities. The incumbent must also have two (2) years of experience in non-profit or educational fundraising including annual fund and major gifts. Experience in a comprehensive university setting is preferred.
