Position Summary:
The Director of Business Development, ISVs has the responsibility of developing and nurturing business relationships with Enterprise-focused Independent Software Vendors. Familiarity with enterprise technologies and applications is a must to help project the credibility needed to interface with partners. Specific experience in a Business Development or Alliances function, working with enterprise-focused ISVs is also required. This individual will be driving programs with new and existing partners designed to increase the relevance and penetration of the Badgeville platform into the enterprise market.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Market and sell OEM licenses to ISV partners
Develop joint marketing programs.
Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews with top-level partners
Facilitate internal Badgeville partner readiness programs targeted at the Badgeville sales and marketing teams
Work with the Badgeville field force to build partner target lists and co-sale opportunities
Work with partner teams to develop joint Business Plans
Develop strategies for specific accounts
Package joint solutions for prospect marketing
Engage with other Badgeville team members to drive greater mindshare within target markets and accounts
Facilitate trade show and event selection and participation
Background/Experience:
5-10 years of supporting or managing partner relationships. Alliances or business development experience required.
3-4 years experience working closely with enterprise ISVs also required. Experience with SIs and solution providers a plus.
Understanding of the dynamics of the enterprise social business software market and an appreciation for the complexity in the value chain and the ISV integrations.
Prior experience negotiating OEM, resale, and implementation partnership agreements.
Broad relationships in the application development community.
Bachelor's Degree from a leading university; Top 20 MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Necessary Skills/Attributes:
Very strong analytical, problem solving written and verbal skills.
Proven ability to build and manage high-level relationships.
Manage a significant number of programs and project activities to completion.
Self-directed, low maintenance.
Ability to influence partners to support and endorse Badgeville product strategy.
Works very collaboratively across distributed teams
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to facilitate meetings and develop relationships with external and internal parties.
Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all assigned levels within and outside the company.
Understands the full cycle of the business development process.
Attention to detail and a willingness to provide deal support for activities that range from highly visible to custodial
