The Employment Specialist is responsible for job development, job site skill training, task analysis, on-going situational assessment as well as on-going advocacy and follow along. Responsible for ensuring that confidentiality is strictly maintained concerning all agency related information.
•Responsible for job search, development and placement at community based job sites and follow along services as appropriate
•Performs all jobs initially in order to determine the amount of physical dexterity and stamina required
•Completes a comprehensive job description and task analysis outlining all aspects of job requirements
•Provides training in all skill areas outlined in the task analysis
•Provides on going task specific feedback information to the program participant and employer as appropriate
•Responsible for long term job related case management and advocacy services
•Meets family members on a regular basis or as needed to resolve potential difficulties
•Schedules support visits as necessary
•Compiles all data base information as required
•Attends monthly support group meetings
•Maintains a flexible schedule which may include evenings, nights and/or weekends
•Safely transports individuals as needed
•Complies with all agency policies and procedures
•Other duties as assigned
