Presently operating in 24 states, we provide medical services through outpatient pathology laboratories, hospital inpatient laboratories, and outpatient surgery centers.

SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the operational effectiveness of all facilities in the assigned region of AmeriPath
  • Plans strategies for growth and development of laboratory testing
  • Determines resource needs, including the addition of new technology to laboratories
  • Provides an environment that encourages personnel development and retention
  • Maintains fiscal responsibility of assigned facilities to ensure the ability of each facility to meet annual and long-term goals of AmeriPath
  • Leads business development activities within the community and maintains relationships with referring physician practices and centers, hospital administration, and other key members within the local healthcare community
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration or related field
  • Eight (8) or more years of progressive experience in healthcare management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA or Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration
  • Ten (10) or more years of progressive experience in a high-volume laboratory or pathology practice
  • High proficiency in accounting, budgeting, and forecasting methods
  • Experience developing and using productivity, quality, efficiency (turn-around time and cost) metrics to manage the business
  • Experience working with managed care
  • Experience analyzing and negotiating contracts
  • Experience in creating facility plans
  • Experience ensuring practice or laboratory compliance with CAP, CLIA, OSHA, and EPA standards
