Job Type: Full Time Position Summary:
The IS Senior Engineer provides vision, direction and guidance in the execution and support of desktop services initiatives and projects This position works with other Information Services teams and business clients in the analysis, packaging, testing, and deployment of client server and desktop software and hardware solutions. Required Qualifications:
1.Provide technical leadership and manage a team of IS Engineers and consultants 2. Manage desktop technology projects including application integration and enterprise technology rollouts 3. Lead the application lifecycle management process including customization, packaging, quality assurance, deployment preparation and maintenance of client software including MSI and virtual applications; Manage and support packaging process, tools and problem resolution efforts 4. Provide technical direction for delivery of client solutions including the planning, engineering, configuration, security, performance, scalability, reliability and infrastructure 5. Analyze project-level information technologies, detect deficiencies, and recommend solutions for improvement 6. Collaborate with Technology and Software Architecture teams to evaluate and integrate new enterprise technical solutions, methods and techniques 7.Execute technology evaluations; create technical presentations and reports for publication or presentation to IS management and colleagues 8. Manage and support standard Virtual Lab technology Preferred Qualifications:
1. 7+ years of technical experience in engineering, integration and support of desktop technologies including hardware, software, SCCM, Active Directory, Group Policy and DNS 2. Expert knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems including Windows XP and Windows 7, Server 2003 and 2008, Microsoft Office, and working knowledge of Linux 3. Strong application packaging (Wise Package Studio, VMware ThinApp) and conflict management skills 4. Prior leadership experience, preferably in a team driven technical environment 5. Understanding of LAN/WAN and mobile computing environments 6. Experience integrating and supporting mobile and wireless devices 7. Demonstrated project management experience including large-scale or enterprise deployments 8. Experience supporting Virtualization technologies such as VMWare Workstation, ESX, Lab Manager, View, Citrix Provisioning Server 9. Proven competence in business, information, application, and technology components of enterprise engineering; strong systems analysis, analytical problem solving skills 10. Extensive knowledge of desktop Imaging (MDT), software architecture and network design principles 11. Experience with Thin Client technologies such as HP/Neoware and Windows Embedded 12. Experience of scripting tools (i.e., VB, Powershell) 13. Experience working in a large scale, challenging IT environment; ability to build and maintain relationships remotely and across organizations 14. Demonstrates sound judgment and decision-making skills, ability to juggle multiple competing priorities, and ability to work under deadline demands; strong facilitation, negotiation and consensus building skills 15. Ability to understand and relate product technology, strategy and direction with business needs 16. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills 17.
