Fund and Client Services Group Overview:
The Fund and Client Services group is a unit of Bridgewater's Counterparty & Client Relations Department (CCR), whose mission is generally to protect the company and our clients while facilitating business. The primary responsibilities of the Fund and Client Services group are to:
1) ensure that all investor activities are managed excellently; every dollar in and out of our funds and client accounts is reviewed and processed by Fund and Client Services 2) field client queries and documentation requests on nearly all non-investment-related matters pertaining to their accounts and/or Bridgewater 3) manage the business of the Bridgewater funds (e.g., regulatory filings, expenses, investor communications and reporting) and Bridgewater's relationship with its fund service providers (e.g., administrators and custodians) 4) maintain investor information and documentation Position Summary:
The Fund and Client Services group comprises two teams: Fund Services, which is chiefly responsible for ensuring that the business requirements of Bridgewater's funds are met, and Investor Services, which is chiefly responsible for ensuring that investor activities are managed excellently. The Manager will oversee the Investor Services team, comprised of 6-8 people, including Senior Associates (player-coaches) supported by Junior Associates and an Administrative Coordinator. Reporting to the Fund & Client Services Manager, this individual will be expected to ensure the quality of day-to-day operations and mentor his/her team, as well as lead and/or participate in various company-wide and cross-department projects, liaise regularly with external service providers, design and document team procedures, formulate templates and best practices, and design and integrate process and technology improvements. Management responsibilities include hiring, training and developing the team; ensuring the team has the requisite tools to meet its responsibilities; and coordinating across the company on investor-services-related matters. While the Investor Services area has low direct interaction with clients, it partners closely with Bridgewater's fund service providers, and the Manager collaborates daily with internal clients in Marketing, Client Services, Accounting, Finance, Operations, Compliance, and Portfolio Management.

Day to day responsibilities may include:
Managing the Investor Services team excellently and in accordance with Bridgewater principles, including hiring, training, developing, and evaluating team members Ensuring the team is designed and resourced appropriately in order to meet its goals of delivering excellent client service, both internal and external Auditing, assessing, and improving team performance through use of Bridgewater's management tools and other appropriate controls Participating in firm-wide projects (e.g. launching new funds, transformation initiatives and integrating new service providers) Managing team projects (e.g. reviewing and improving processes, establishing service level agreements, and tracking metrics) Overseeing official client activities and maintaining client records (e.g. redemptions, audit and compliance queries, SMA and other documentation management) Providing leverage and partnership to the Fund & Client Services Manager and other relevant department managers through excellent oversight of processes and people Participating in due diligence calls with prospective and current clients Evaluating external fund service providers (e.g., administrators, custodians) and delivering direct feedback
