This Information Technology (IT) Specialist (APPSW) position is located within the Office of Information Technology (OIT), Applications Development Division (ADD), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Department of Homeland Security. If selected for this position, you will serve as a Release or Configuration and Change Manager responsible for managing releases or change and configuration in all pre-production environments as well as reviewing and approving test evaluation master plans and test plans as a key component of the Test Readiness Review (TRR).
Typical assignments will include:
Managing and analyzing software/hardware applications projects.
Developing business and functional requirements with clients and customers.
Preparing Statements of Work development, cost estimates, project plan and schedule development, budget preparation and tracking, technical specification and performance reviews, and contract management.
Managing support and operations upon implementation of applications software/hardware analysis, and coordinating testing, modification and functionality upgrades to customer applications.
Specialized experience needed for the position includes:
For the SV-I Band Level:
Applying detailed knowledge of information technology systems analysis principles, techniques, requirements, methods, and procedures; and
Applying knowledge of information technology business process, concepts, and methods to assist in conducting studies.
For the SV-J Band Level:
Experience applying IT systems analysis principles, techniques, requirements, methods, and procedures as they apply to systems design, program design, and database and file design;
Acting as a project lead overseeing development teams, end user, and management stakeholders; and
Serving as a Release or Configuration and Change Manager.
