Job Posting Summary

This position requires limited previously acquired skills and knowledge and in which workers perform duties that result in or contribute to the comfort, convenience, and hygiene of personnel and the student body or that contribute to the upkeep of the institutional property. This position will be responsible for building service work such as moving furniture, shoveling snow, collecting freight, vacuuming, dusting, washing windows, emptying trash, and other building service duties. This is a part-time temporary position with hours to be determined.

Knowledge, skills and abilities required for this position.

Must possess good customer service skills, interpersonal skills and good oral and written communication skills to work effectively with fellow employees. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Knowledge and ability to use hand tools, including brooms, mops, brushes and shovels to complete assigned custodial tasks. Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to work late evening or early morning hours with the flexibility to work weekends as well. Works when schedule begins and ends work as expected.

Typical education or training required for this position (including licenses).

High school graduate or equivalent combination of education and experience.
