Description:
The Medicare Durable Medical Equipment (DME) appeal associate will perform routine but moderately complex tasks related to Medicare claim appeals and the review of supporting documentation for compliance with Medicare rules and standards. The associate will apply knowledge of established procedures to reviewing documentation for Medicare compliance and process claims appropriately in a production environment.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Required:
·

High school education or equivalent.

·

Customer service experience, including responding to inquiries via letter; or equivalent college or technical training.

·

To adequately perform the duties of the job individuals must possess a minimum of 6 months to 1 year general administrative experience, or equivalent college level education.

Knowledge and Skills:
Basic knowledge of the administrative methods, and an acumen to develop the required administrative skills of the job.

Specific level of software skills as required by the work unit.
