POSITION DESCRIPTION: Corporate Communication and Administrativee Support

SECURITY CLEARANCE/LEVEL REQUIRED:
Current Secret clearance required.
Performs executive administrative and corporate communication tasks for the Air Force Integrated Personnel and Pay System (AF-IPPS) Program at the Air Force Lifecycle Management Center (AFLCMC). The AF-IPPS Program Management Office (PMO) is located on Hanscom AFB, MA. Provides executive-level administrative support for the AF-IPPS Chief Engineer. Advises AF-IPPS Senior Leadership on Internal/Corporate Communication processes, products, and tasks. Supports AF-IPPS Branch Chiefs with travel planning, as well as supporting Government employees with the Government timecard system.
Provides the following administrative support for the AF-IPPS Chief Engineer that includes, but is not limited to: calendar management; travel planning and logistics; crafting, editing, and tracking official correspondence (e.g., processing of military and civilian annual appraisals, decorations, and awards) ; general support for business meetings; and Government civilian employee timecards support: logistics/travel planning major meetings/business reviews; calendar maintenance and management; collecting, tracking, and monitoring programmatic taskers in the suspense system; creation, processing and handling of official correspondence; record keeping of correspondence and important memorandum; creating and maintaining job-related metrics; and general support to ensure efficient and smooth operations.
Coordinates with the AF-IPPS leadership on Internal/Corporate Communication responsibilities. Communication-related tasks include, but are not limited to: Advises AF-IPPS leadership on, as well as crafts, critical internal communications (e.g., e-mails for distribution of leadership’s message to the organization). Responsible for maintenance and execution of current internal communication processes (e.g., recall rosters, newcomer orientation material, and development of organizational charters). Establishes and implements new internal communication processes and procedures as required (e.g., “socializes” changes in operational processes within the PMO). Facilitates establishing organizational goals/objectives/directives at executive-level events with AF-IPPS leadership).
Must have a positive attitude, be accustomed to taking the initiative in problem solving and identifying areas of potential improvement, and be flexible in the face of a dynamic workload. Multitasking capabilities are a must to handle the work level of the Chief Engineer. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Degree/Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree and five years’ experience.
Degree in Communication, Business Operations Management, or related degree preferred.

The criteria for substitution of educational degrees and/or experience are stated below:
(1) Education Substituted for Experience: Formal education may substitute for related general and specialized experience. A Bachelors degree may substitute for four (4) years of experience. A Masters degree may substitute for two (2) years of experience. A Ph.D degree may substitute for two (2) years of experience
(2) Experience Substituted for Formal Education: Related general experience may substitute for formal education. Two (2) years of additional related experience may substitute for an Associates Degree. Four (4) years of additional related experience may substitute for a Bachelors Degree. Two (2) additional years of related experience with similar functional responsibilities may substitute for a Masters Degree
(3) Each Professional Certification related to the field of expertise required is equivalent to two years of specialized and related general experience
