Position Summary

The person will consultative service, patient assessment of blood management patients, coordinate and oversee the care of activities in the Blood Management Program, The position will involve patient education of both inpatients and outpatients. Act as a liaison to medical staff and the community for the Blood Management Program as well as an opportunity to provide education. This position will also offer the opportunity to actively participate in research projects.


Basic Qualifications:
Education - Other (Specify) in Nurse Practitioners who obtained their education and certification after 2000 must show evidence of completion of a master’s, post-master’s or doctorate from a Nurse Practitioner program that is accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission
Experience - 3 years of experience current, relevant clinical experience, Previous experience functioning in a collaborative role
Licenses - NURSING\Registered Nurse (RN)*\All
CLINICAL\Nurse Practitioner – Licensed (NP)*\All
LIFE SUPPORT\Basic Life Support (BLS) Note used for BLS,CPR & BCLS)\All
Other\All, except Neonatal Services
Other\All, except Neonatal Services and Hospice
LIFE SUPPORT\Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP)\Neonatal Services
NON CLINICAL\Drivers License – MI (MI DR LIC)*\Hospice
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience - Experience as a Nurse Practictioner
Licenses - LIFE SUPPORT\ Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)\All, except Neonatal Services and Hospice
