Advertised Summary Job Description

The clerk B will be process and handle routine and non-routine histological slides request for laboratory records, documentation, sent-out and additional patient care. The duties include but are not limited to triaging rouitne and non-routine histological request. Assist in the traiging, verifying and distribution of microslides. Candidate must be familliar with Co-path (Ab&T) LIS System for date entry, retrieval of information and documentation of cases. He/she will assist in in the filing of cassettes to the permanent file. Since the position requires individual to perform the functions within a laboratory, general safety policies and procedures are enforced. The incumbent will also perform other related duties pertaining to the proper functioning of the laboratory.

Minimum Qualifications for Grade Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant

Requires a high school diploma or equivalency ceritifucate and one year related experience. Must have good communication skills. Familiar with Co-path LIS system or other related laboratory LIS system.

Additional Position-Specific Minimum Qualifications Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant

Computer skills required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills needed. Ability to work in an organized manner in accordance with established regulations, policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

Copath experience preferred.
