Boeing is searching for a Computing Architect to support a growing program that provides operations and maintenance of a mission-critical system in a dynamic environment within the Mission Operations division.
The position defines requirements, designs and verifies robust architecture, data and information management systems and components. Establishes design constraints and ensures architecture conforms to requirements. Incorporates architecture functions into software development lifecycle. Leads the development and configuration management of architecture views and models. Assesses of feasibility of architecture solutions and alternatives. Performs trade-off analyses. Evaluates products to assess suitability for integration into delivery system environments. Leads development of trade studies and other forms of analysis to formulate optimum solutions for users. Guides and coordinates development and deployment of new or revised processes in support of new computing systems, including documentation and training. Drafts data and information management products and service standards. Assess impact of architectural decisions to product lifecycle. Contributes to architecture and data/information management standards and strategies. Performs hardware and software installation activities, as needed. Mentors less experienced employees. Works under minimal direction.

This position requires that you work out of Springfield, Virginia. Do you currently reside in the Springfield, Virginia area (where relocating would not be required) or are you willing to relocate at your own expense?

Do you have BOTH: a) a Single-Scope Background Investigation (SSBI); AND b) a current Full-Scope Polygraph?

Typical Education/Experience

Level 4 - Technical bachelor's degree and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 7 or more years' or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.

Level 5 - Technical bachelor's degree and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 12 or more years' or a PhD degree with typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
