In the Information Management Group, you will have the opportunity to work directly on data protection and archiving products using the latest disk, tape, de-duplication, archiving, indexing and virtual technologies. This group is devoted to changing the way organizations ensure successful backup, recovery and archiving of information and systems. Provide frontline telephone support to SYMANTEC NETBACKUP customers, typically an enterprise level customer from a large corporate account
Support the core of the product, its numerous features and extensions, as well as interaction with other Symantec products in heterogeneous environments. (Windows, Linux and UNIX)
Troubleshooting with the use of sophisticated tools.Analysis of logs, and coordination of all resources to resolve issues. Ongoing identification of issues. Documentation of solutions and publication of technical documents.Qualifications
2+ yrs experience supporting complex applications in Windows, UNIX and Linux environments.
Impeccable customer service skills with an emphasis on verbal and written communicatiions skills.
The ability to learn quickly and understand complex situations readily are requisite.
Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking is essential.
Storage area networking
