Requirements:

Internships are only offered to college students receiving academic credit for the internship (no exceptions). If chosen for an internship, prior to reporting, you must submit proof that you will receive credit for the internship.

The majority of departments require that a student have a major in a related academic area (i.e. Basketball Communications seeks students with majors in Sports Management and/or Communications). While younger students may apply, upper classmen and students in Masters’ programs are preferred candidates because of their advanced education and training.

Interns should possess strong oral and written communication skills. Solid computer skills are a necessary requirement given the nature of the modern business office (experience with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc., which are used company-wide, have proven especially helpful to students).

Internships are unpaid. While some of our internships allow students time outside of normal business hours to work part-time elsewhere, the majority require a full-time commitment during office hours, as well as availability during games and/or events.
