Job Description Principal Product Manager, AmazonLocal AmazonLocal is a recently launched daily deals marketplace that offers customers savings of up to 75 percent off products and services at restaurants, spas, fun events and more. This new business within Amazon offers a creative, fast-paced, entrepreneurial work environment where you’ll be at the center of Amazon innovation. We are looking for a Principal Product Manager to drive a strategy to enable existing Amazon 3P merchants (e.g. Merchant@, Webstore, CBA, and FBA merchants) to participate in the AmazonLocal experience.

This role presents a rare opportunity to own and drive an initiative that can have a huge impact on the AmazonLocal business by leveraging Amazon.com’s key assets to expand selection for our customers. Key Responsibilities Work cross-functionally with designers, software development engineers, program and product managers, senior leadership, and external partners to ensure a smooth and efficient product deliveryResearch and identify opportunities to integrate with our 3P merchant platform in an intuitive, effective, and scalable mannerWrite business requirement documents based on intimate knowledge of the product, the market, and internal dependencies within the companyEnsure clear communication and coordination across the business, design and development teams. Help define and influence the long-term product roadmapConduct business and financial analysis, including forecasting, monitoring, and reportingDefine and establish the product vision, goals, supporting business metrics, and success indicators The successful candidate will demonstrate: High attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneouslyAn ability to think strategically and execute methodicallySuperior verbal and written communications skillsAn ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desiredA composed, poised and professional demeanorA successful track record of working effectively across multiple teamsA history of teamwork and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job doneProven analytical and quantitative skills (includes the ability to effectively use tools such as Excel and Access) and an ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop project business cases Basic Qualifications 7+ years in product management Bachelor's degree Preferred Qualifications MBAExperience delivering technology products/services in a high growth environment and across functional teams, with a demonstrated ability to translate business partner needs into business and product requirementExcellent oral and written communication skills and an ability to influence others internally and externalAn ability to analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, and scope product and technical requirementAn ability to deliver product features from conception through completion
