The Software Intern will work as part of a dynamic team located in Raleigh, NC which is responsible for the architecture, design, and implementation of data center protocols components of Spirent’s Test Center product. The position is an exciting opportunity to get real-world, hands-on experience within the challenging communication industry, and will require software development, testing of your work, and the ability to translate business requirements into engineering projects.
•Design and implementation of development tools and tool-chains.
•Analysis and resolution of customer issues.
•Definition and implementation of engineering unit and functional tests.
•Characterization and estimation of software performance.
•At least three years completed towards a BS/CS or 1 year towards a MS/CS or equivalent degree
•Knowledge of C++
•Exposure to Object Oriented Design
•Systems level programming on Linux and Windows
•Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
•Excellent written and verbal communication
•Solid knowledge and understanding of software engineering principles
•Ability to adapt to fast-paced development environments and new technologies
•Desire to learn in a real-world environment
