The Demand Planner is an integral member of the Demand Planning Team in developing and assessing a comprehensive plan for demand on specific product families. The department has a large impact on the company, revenue, people and communication with stakeholders. The Analyst will lead the process for demand management, including planning demand, communicating, influencing demand, prioritizing and managing demand. It is a highly visible position with interaction globally and with all levels of the organization, including the Senior Leadership Team. The Analyst will also learn how Oracle works and be heavily involved in all the inner workings of it. Detailed Description
  • Manage variables in the demand equation, such as marketing forecasts, inventory and consumption
  • Optimize the models and variables to drive both production and demand plans
  • Meet established customer satisfaction metrics and business goals.
  • Develop and track performance measurements to provide feedback on execution and reinforce accountability.
  • Lead communication on demand management with internal stakeholders such as Marketing, Manufacturing and Customer Service
  • Lead communication on production objectives to meet customer satisfaction and Sensata business goals
  • Coordinate global demand plan for specific product families
  • Manage and balance global capacity utilization to meet customer and business needs
  • Manage global allocation of output where demand exceeds capacity globally
  • Develop forward looking capacity plans and proactively resolve issues
  • Define processes and drive improvements Job Requirements
  • Engineering degree preferred, BS in Supply Chain, Finance or similar required; MBA is a plus
  • 2 – 5 plus years related experience
  • Experience understanding of the financial influence of inventory, lead time, how logistics align with business objectives and P&L
  • Strategic agility and creativity with analytical and effective problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to accept new ideas, engage in creative, innovative and systemic thinking
  • Understanding of an ERP system; Oracle experience is a plus
  • Ability to understand, interpret and meet business goals
  • Ability to communicate with and coordinate global teams as well as with all levels of the organization
  • Strong ability to multi-task, set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to listen, influence and lead others Additional Details
