Wedding Consultant Job Description Standards
  • Consistently honor all service and selling vows, selling the wedding head-to-toe
  • Maintain hourly productivity at or above minimum
  • Follow up and communicate with customers in accordance with David’s Bridal Customer Relationship Management (CRM) standards
  • Understand and comply with David’s Bridal policies and procedures
  • Maintain housekeeping standards in accordance with daily assignments and areas of responsibility
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct yourself in a professional, respectful manner at all times, and present a professional image, adhering to dress code.
  • Understand and comply with David’s Bridal policies and procedures pertaining to duties/expectations both on and off the selling floor
  • Maximize sales and customer satisfaction by providing superior service, each time the customer visits, regardless of the purpose of her visit.Know and honor David’s Bridal’s selling and service vows, throughout all four experiences
  • Maintain hourly sales productivity standards by selling the wedding head-to-toe. Sell the gown, headpiece, foundations, shoes, jewelry, gifts, preservation kit, etc., as well as outfitting and accessorizing the entire bridal party
  • Educate your customers on the David’s Difference—the attributes the make David’s Bridal unique and appealing
  • Follow up and communicate with customers in accordance with David’s Bridal Customer Relationship Management (CRM) standards
  • Know David’s Bridal merchandise and build on your product knowledge on an ongoing basis
  • Be aware of merchandise featured in David’s Bridal catalogues
  • Understand how the Customer Service Chart is used, and how it helps to ensure that every customer is served
  • Understand the services provided by the alterations department and how alterations can play an important role in the closing of the sale
  • Know and precisely follow special order procedures
  • Answer the telephone within four rings, using the correct greeting, and provide information in a professional and respectful manner, taking detailed messages for the floor manager
  • Support store management in performing responsibilities aside from selling, including maintaining areas of responsibility, completing inventory counts, merchandising the sales floor, completing markdowns, etc.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards in the store, including floor recovery, vacuuming, dusting, and straightening of merchandise
  • Follow quality control guidelines to help ensure that all merchandise is in pristine condition
  • Attempt to resolve customer service issues or complaints, prior to involving the floor manager
  • Attend and participate in store meetings
