DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:|
1- Primary responsibility of this position is to collect, tabulate, and present reports in an accurate and organized fashion from the following areas:
a) Volume statistics of the departments under surgical services
b) Quality control data re: late surgeries, cancellations, add-ons, block utilization, high cost implantable items, and many more daily, monthly and quarterly reports.
2- Assists the director of surgical services with setting up meetings with vendors, coordinating PI team activities, such as arranging meetings and taking minutes.
3- Maintains OR logs in an organized fashion for easy access and retrieval.
4- Assists in dissemination of information on the bulletin boards and helps with Surgical Services Newsletter publications.
5- Keeps up with all the mandatory requirement of staff files and collects and submits the certificates, proof of attendance etc., to Education Department.
6- Writes and maintains the records/ minutes of the Direct Report Meetings
7- Assists with presentations preparation and other related duties
8- Responds to data requests from other supervisors and assists with creation of logs, documentation trails and other specialty forms.
9- Acts as a support person in resolving simple computer issues
10- Performs the duties of a designated gate keeper
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING: (include Licenses and Professional Affiliations)
Experience: Three years of experience as an Admin. Secretary, and or background in
statistics, and IT in a health care setting.
Education: College degree
Specialized Training: Excellent guest relation skills.
Licensure: None required
- Demonstrate knowledge in PC skills.
- Skills in Excel, Word and Power Point , and Access as a minimum requirement.
- Formulation of data, tables, desk top publishing
- Requires the ability to communicate clearly in English(verbal and written)
- Background in IT and statistics is preferred.
