Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for Neuro Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit |
Responsible for patient management of all inpatient rehab patients on Neuro Inpatient Rehab unit.
Patient population includes Neurology and Neurosurgery. Job duties include history and physical on every new patient, admission orders, daily progress notes, participation with multi disciplinary team rounds, and discharges.
The Nurse Practitioner and/or Physician Assistant will serve in a multidimensional role as a practitioner, educator, and resource person for medical and nursing staff. They will provide the patient and family with individualized care, treatment plan, teaching and emotional support. Additionally will serve as a patient/family advocate working as a liaison between patient/family and physician.
Requirements: Graduate of an appropriate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program with current Michigan licensure and current DEA license. BLS with American Heart Association. Must have recent inpatient experience and be able to function as a team member with fellow mid level providers and other services.
Selected candidate will be responsible for providing Human Resources with all documentation as requested to facilitate the credentialing process.
