Lead the efforts of the Information Assurance (IA) team to support the certification and accreditation of products in accordance with DOD DIACAP and other IA-related requirements. Conduct and drive peer review processes for all IA1 and IA2 work. Serve as SME to AAI at a product/system level. Step in as IA2 as needed. Assist with IA process improvement initiatives. Attend AAI configuration control board (CCB) meetings and may be required to support accreditation events with our customers. Responsible for all aspects of DIACAP Package work product, to include technical and non-technical components. Must guide and coordinate IA artifact collection across multiple departments. May be required to provide support and coordinate efforts to ensure success at AIC, ACA, FISMA and POA&M events. Serve as tactical mentor for new hires. May assist with hiring process for team members.
Performs complicated and difficult engineering work requiring a high degree of technical competence. Work involves conventional engineering practice, but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and/or difficult coordination requirements. Plans, schedules, conducts, or coordinates detailed phases of the engineering work in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope. Role extends expectations beyond individual contribution to include involvement as a lower-tier technical leader and/or technical expert. Work requires a broad knowledge of precedents in the specialty area and a solid knowledge of related specialties.

  • High level understanding of operating system security settings and policies (Windows and/or RedHat)
  • Experience with OS configuration (Windows, RedHat), virtual environments, or scripting languages is preferred
  • Able to work in team environments and independently
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to write procedures and other informative correspondence
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret security regulations
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve network/operating system security issues
Education and Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience with Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Assurance or related technical degree required. Graduate level education preferred for this position. Preferred graduate of a NSA Center of Academic Excellence or NSA CNSS IA Courseware Evaluation Program. Secret security clearance must be obtained and maintained within 6 months of employment.

Experience with OS configuration (Windows, RedHat), virtual environments, or scripting preferred.
