- Graduation from a School of Nursing is required
Coordinate total nursing care for patients, participate in patient and family teaching, and provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other members of the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal clinical and resource outcomes.
Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing , Diploma Program, Associate Degree Program, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing, is preferred.
Must have current license or temporary practice permit to practice as Registered Nurse or Graduate Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Must successfully complete orientation including, but not limited to, successful completion of medication validation and written medication examination.
Must maintain current American Heart Association CPR certification.
Must be able to meet health standards for employment.
Qualifications: Intensive Care Unit (ICU): Intensive Care RN
At least one (1) year recent RN experience in Medical/Surgical required. One (1) year recent Critical Care acute care preferred.
Evidence of successful completion of a basic EKG course or ability to successfully pass PMC course exam upon hire.
ACLS certification required within six (6) months of hire.
Completion of Critical Care Orientation Program (ECCO) within eighteen (18) months of hire, or current CCRN certification preferred.
Trauma Nurse Course within one (1) year of assignment to department; within two (2) years if currently assigned to department.
Four (4) Trauma related continuing education credits per year (ACLS, APLS, PALS, ABLS = 4 hours for 2 day provider; 2 hours for 1 day refresher).
