This Co-op Intern position will work with the Client Support Services department to develop an understanding of and assist in the end-user support of software and hardware applications utilized in the healthcare environment applications.
The Intern will be involved in the day-to-day activities related to providing support within a Financial Line of Business to all HCA, CHS, Lifepoint, Capella and non-affiliated hospitals and HCA's corporate office, division offices or other entities. This support includes triaging, prioritizing, researching and resolving simple to moderate customer incidents or service requests which; if left unresolved, could affect patient care or revenue.
The Intern must be currently registered for or attending college full-time.
Answers Client Support Services telephone calls, documents all customer inquiries and resolutions received via phone calls, mailboxes or other alternative streams of input in order to identify, diagnose, and initiate research necessary to resolve customer issues in a timely manner, as needed.
Provides support within a Financial Line of Business. Trains end users one-on-one as needed to resolve requests and involves CSS analysts as necessary.
Assists with processing of customer service requests.
Clearly communicates problem symptoms and consults with CSS analysts as necessary to aide in resolving customer issues/requests.
Monitors and follows-up with customers daily on open logs to insure accurate and timely resolutions.
Escalates unresolved issues as needed.
Communicates open issues and user problems to assigned manager or designated staff.
Works closely with CSS analysts in troubleshooting system issues.
Continually works to expand current and upcoming product knowledge within the specialty.
Performs any other duties as requested.
Less than one year work experience. HS Graduate/Equivlent required. Must be a currently enrolled college student pursuing a college degree. All majors are invited to apply.
Prefer students majoring in healthcare or related field.
Demonstrated ability and desire to learn.
Above average communication and telephone skills.
Ability to succinctly communicate verbally and in a variety of media.
Good interpersonal relationship skills and the ability to work with a team.
