EnerNOC, a leading provider of demand response and energy efficiency solutions, has an immediate need for a Product Manager to help lead our world-class Energy Efficiency (EE) product team. Reporting to the Director of Product Management, the Product Manager will be responsible for driving development of our EfficiencySMART and SupplySMART product families. Simply stated, you will manage exceptional products that are used by thousands of people on a daily basis to save energy and reduce green house gases. This is a great opportunity for a business and product leadership role with some of the most innovative “killer applications” of the smart grid.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute significant input to the product strategy for our energy efficiency solutions, working cross-functionally, and with senior management
• Drive the product roadmap for EnerNOC’s energy efficiency, supply, and carbon solutions software and services
• Define best in class products which solve real world problems, and are obvious to customers that they need
• Develop business plans for compelling new product concepts
• Create vertical specific product offerings for key market segments, working collaboratively with product marketing
• Document business requirements, and collect market evidence, prioritizing roadmap and feature requests
• Work directly with our engineering teams and represent the voice of customer in the development process
• Continuously improve the product development process, incorporating lessons learned and best practices
• Evaluate third party companies and solutions and drive build vs. buy vs. partner decisions
• Work collaboratively with sales, marketing, finance, and operations to ensure that products are fully commercialized
• Support sales with key customers, prospects, and partners; both listening to customer requirements, and addressing product questions
• Review and refine major proposals (RFPs, national accounts, etc.)
• Intimately understand EnerNOC’s offerings and how they can be applied to address specific customer needs
• Help sales and marketing leaders shape EnerNOC’s competitive positioning

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent; MBA preferred
• At least 5 years of experience in software or hardware product management, 8-12 years preferred
• Experience in smart grid, energy management or carbon reporting preferred
• Knowledge and experience with SaaS applications
• Passion for great products, and a desire to delight customers
• Ability to sift through details quickly and determine what’s important
• Experience with both Scrum and more traditional software development methods
• Ability to work in a fast paced exciting environment
• Superior verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to adeptly demonstrate products
• Ability to interact with co-workers at all levels of the company
• Strong and focused team player and a consensus builder
• Excellent computer skills including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• New product introduction experience working with cross functional teams to ensure a products are ready to release to market
• Creativity and a sense of humor
