Capacity Modeling Engineer
As a Capacity Modeling Engineer for IM Flash Technologies, you will be part of the Planning and Supply Chain Team, responsible for analyzing and optimizing the performance of the multiple fabrication facilities within the IM Flash factory network. The primary mission of the Advanced Technology Planning Engineering team is to effectively manage capital planning requirements for IM Flash.
Main Job Functions:
Applying industrial engineering concepts to model the capacity thresholds to support existing and future technologies
Facilitating a Lean Manufacturing culture from design through manufacturing
Managing complex projects across several different departments and sites
Working with management up to and including the executive officer level to communicate and gain approval for capital budget changes
Coordinating efforts of the site industrial engineering teams to continuously improve production metrics and optimize use of installed capital
Interfacing with R&D and process development teams to plan capacity requirements of future products to quantify the impact on existing and future capital
Partner with Intel and Micron to determine future capital and capacity requirements
You will work closely with the factory management and planning organizations throughout the global Micron and Intel teams, involving travel to worldwide fabrication sites, as needed (~10%).
Demonstrated success in a previous industrial engineering, production management or production supervisor role
Knowledge of industrial engineering and manufacturing sciences, especially in the area of capacity planning
Demonstrated capability to proactively prioritize projects to facilitate capacity/capital improvements
Ability to communicate effectively throughout all levels of the organization both with written and verbal communications including presentations
Knowledge of project management principles
Demonstrated ability to succeed in a teamwork environment
300mm process equipment and factory environment
Background in the semiconductor engineering sciences; Material Science, Electrical, Chemical or Mechanical engineering
Lean Manufacturing and cost reduction concepts and processes
Background in finance and accounting; familiarity with capital lifecycles and budgetary processes
Experience in managing projects across multiple departments and levels of an organization
Experience with computer programming, and/or database management and data mining
BS in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or equivalent- including comparable experience in a manufacturing environment.
Masters degree or equivalent experience preferred
