This position is located in Mooresville, NC.
The candidate will serve as a Technical lead, and will be a part of the Lowe’s Integration Solutions Service Delivery Organization, supporting the core integration architecture and MQ tools across the various computing environments.
The ideal candidate for this position will be a detail oriented and customer focused IT professional with a strong background in MQ technologies. Additionally the candidate will provide the highest level technical support to insure system and network availability. This position requires a high degree of teamwork and interaction with various IT Retail and Engineering organizations, making interpersonal skills and a positive attitude extremely important. Finally, the successful candidate will demonstrate a creative and forward thinking approach to both problem solving activities, root cause analysis and development/configuration and delivery of innovative, high quality solutions.
The Senior Programmer Analyst is responsible for work at an extremely high level of technical complexity. In addition to designing, configuring, testing, implementing and documenting solutions, the Senior Programmer Analyst is expected to analyze user requests, accurately size the effort and thoroughly develop the messaging application. The Senior Programmer Analyst will often serve in a leadership capacity and provides support for systems incidents including after hours support. Additionally, the Senior Programmer Analyst is responsible for cultivating and applying an understanding of Lowe’s methodology, policies, standards, and internal and external controls.
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or comparable job-related experience is required.
5 years of experience in system engineering
Mainframe Environments (CICS, DB2)
Distributed Environments (Unix, Linux, Oracle)
Proven leadership skills
Proven systems design experience
Strong communication skills
Retail systems knowledge
Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
