The Quality Nurse Clinician is a Registered Nurse who utilizes clinical knowledge and expertise to review medical records for collection of information used to meet the demands of accrediting and regulatory agencies for pay-for-performance measures and to identify patient safety concerns or trends, assesses the quality of care, and provide assistance to leaders to optimize patient safety related performance improvement activities.
The Quality Nurse Clinician is directly involved in committees and process initiatives to assist leadership in creating process improvements designed to optimize patient safety related performance improvement activities.
Researches and applies statistical benchmarking/methodology in the management of databases.
Functions in a consultative capacity to leadership.
Conduct, coordinate and advise of current standards of practice/evidence-based care.
Current Michigan RN license
Knowledge of Formal PI methodology
Knowledge of Kaizen and Kaizen training activities – required.
Ability to conduct presentations in front of large audiences.
Ability to travel to all 3 sites as needed.
