Duties & Responsibilities:

This position will gather, analyze and monitor data regarding communicable diseases within a health district. Position required investigation, notification and treatment management of reported HIV, STD and infectious diseases. Incumbent must be comfortable with this subject matter and able to manage clients with tack and compassion. Previous knowledge of HIV, STD and infectious disease treatment is helpful. Incumbent must be a self-starter and able to work independently.

This is a full-time position. The clinic is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m., clinic may be open past 5:00 on some evenings and for some special events.

Minimum Training & Experience: Completion of a bachelorÂs degree from an accredited college or university OR Associate degree and Two years of experience in a related area OR Four years experience in a medical related field OR Licensure as a registered nurse (RN) and one year of nursing experience.

Agency Specific Qualifications and/or Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to applicants who in addition to meeting the entry qualifications possess the following:

  • Two (2) years previous experience in Public Health
  • Experience in medical case management, and/or infectious disease control/treatment
  • Previous experience with HIV Case Management highly preferred

This position is a pay grade 13 on the statewide salary plan. Position number 80997. The minimum is $29,399, maximum is $40,402. Salary is based upon education/experience/licensure and availability of funding.
