This position will be filled based on the award of the T-34, T-44 and T-6 CLS contract to BAE Systems. Contract award will be announced in the March 2011 timeframe.
The selected candidate manages and monitors all aircraft, support equipment, and component maintenance. Plans and coordinates all aircraft inspections (special, conditional, phase, etc.). Dispatches and monitors all assigned tasks and associated jobs to work centers. Keeps company and government apprised of aircraft status at all times. Keeps the COR briefed on all contract requirements. Work closely with the Operations Department to ensure aircraft are available to meet the Flight Schedule. Monitors the NALCOMIS system to report all work performed. Works with Navy established five (5) part VIDS (visual information display system). Prepares daily, weekly, and monthly reports in support of aircraft long range maintenance requirements. Maintains Aircraft Discrepancy Books showing completed as well as outstanding maintenance actions. Ensures all required maintenance has been performed before flights. Briefs and de-briefs pilots as required, assisting in the documentation of aircraft flight time and maintenance discrepancies. Complies with all current sections of the NAVAIRINST 3710.1F and COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 Series as applicable to aircraft maintenance. Maintains aircraft history, as well as various other aircraft files in support of aircraft maintenance. Verifies all Maintenance Action Documentation prior to submission to the Navy, working closely with Logs and Records trying to ensure timely submission into 3M data systems and required log book entries. Corrects and re-submits all Naval generated reports by 3M data system. Responsible for mission configuration, working with various work centers with up loads and systems checks as required. Ensures work area is maintained in a neat and orderly manner and that all safety rules and regulations are observed. May work with other groups or personnel to resolve problems. Will instruct and assist in training of lower level employees in proper work methods and performance of their job duties.
This position is located at NAS Pensacola, FL. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to Pensacola or surrounding areas.

Must have: Bachelor's degree in related field At least 10 years management experience within the last 5 years in a managerial position related to aircraft maintenance and material support 5 years of the 10 must have been as a manager of a field site or secondary location Previous experience in inventory control, industrial and personnel relations, including the assignment/reassignment of personnel in conjunction with fluctuating workloads. Experience in establishing policy and procedures, training, and safety programs. Experience in logistics support, maintenance, supply, and production procurement activities. Experience managing operating budgets and fund expenditures for supplies and/or equipment; in flight operation plans, programs, and evaluation of maintenance and supply capability to support such programs. Experience in aircraft maintenance plans, procedures, and policies with collective experience in monitoring and directing maintenance and supply activities. Comprehensive knowledge of Naval aircraft maintenance and supply procedures, including turboprop engines, airframes, maintenance data collection/analysis, and Navy technical directive compliance. Familiar with Naval Aviation Maintenance Program procedures and directives. Preferences: Recent experience with relevent program at a Chief of Naval Air Training platform. Familiar with Lean maintenance philosophy (certification not required). Preferred Skills:
