You will be subject to a background/suitability investigation. DUTIES:
This position is located in Education Services at the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System at North Little Rock, AR. The incumbent will be responsible for designing, producing, installing and applying Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements for signage throughout a federal facility totaling 2.3 million square feet. The incumbent will also be responsible for public relations photography, studio photography and video shooting/editing.
Duties and responsibilities also include but are not limited to:
Responsibility for medical center signage.
Operates specialized computer driven software and equipment such as large format solvent printer, beveling engraving machine, vinyl cutter/printer and vinyl thermal transfer printer.
Functions as the Video/Audio Visuals Technician for Media Resources Section.
Works with staff of administrative and clinical services to provide digital edited video representation of their needs, in services, lectures and patient documentation.
Works as the Audio Visual Technician, instructing administrative and clinical staff on the operation of equipment and check out equipment in Media Resources.
Troubleshoots any problems that may arise with check out equipment.
Photographs public relations activities, environmental and studio portraits and flat copy slides.
Helps maintain digital photographic files, media work orders, and signed consent forms.
Works as secondary digital imaging person producing images for publications, posters and presentations for medical staff, residents, research investigators and medical students.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.

One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: May work from ladders/scaffolds to perform assigned tasks; commonly moves or lifts objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and generally must be able to carry the necessary tools, instruments and materials to each work site without assistance; concentration is required for long periods of time laying out and lettering signs; a high degree of alertness and concentration with hand-eye coordination is required; heavy use of the eye with the ability to critically evaluate and distinguish the color spectrum; a reasonable degree of dexterity; standing for relatively long periods of time on location shoots; and ability to lift at least 20-50 pounds form the ground to your shoulder.
