Position Responsibilities:
Working closely with analysts, data architects, and other Marketing partners to:

Develop stored procedures and reports (Excel, Web) for our marketing group and handle ad-hoc query requests. Improve query performance of critical reports and batch jobs.

Write Pearl Scripts on Linux platform to extract data from Netezza, MySQL type databases.

Create/modify stored tables, views, and procedures for ETL and data warehouse projects.

Create / modify SSIS packages written in T-SQL and

Work closely in a cross-functional environment including Marketing, Sales, Engineering, DBA, and other internal organizations.

Migrate data onto other platforms/servers and setup connections for data access across platforms.

Provide nightly and weekend support for monitoring process runs.

Perform SQL-DBA tasks such as Backup, Disaster Recovery, Index tuning, performance optimization, server monitoring for CPU / Memory and Disk-Space usage.

Position Qualifications:
BA in CS or MIS (or equivalent) with 5 years of hands-on T-SQL and performing SQL-DBA tasks experience in a start-up environment.

Strong hands-on experience in T-SQL, building complex stored procedures.

Understand ERD and assess architectural impacts on query construction and performance.

Ability to work cross functionally to drive process/data resolution in a dynamic environment.

Strong in report presentation (automated and ad-hoc) using Excel VBA, SSRS Reporting.

Experience in MS SSIS and SSRS. Excellent customer service experience in addressing issues from internal/external Marketing and Sales clients.

Familiarity with software engineering principles: OO, Agile.

Familiarity with high-throughput OLTP environments, as we operate one of the largest Internet properties.

Familiarity with OLAP technologies, architectures, and design principles.
