Job Summary

The Senior Database Administrator works with database administration systems and designs and administers data structures. This person develops, implements, and maintains relational database management systems (RDBMS) to support business requirements. Activities involve interaction with development, architecture, data warehouse, business intelligence and end-user personnel to design data structures to and procedures to support the company’s key applications.

Job Responsibilities :
  • Support the company’s DB2 UDB implementations
  • Support real-time replication of data to DB2 from external databases
  • Define and establish data administration processes, procedures and performance standards
  • Support the administration of the data warehouse implementation
  • Analyze and design complex data models
  • Maintain logical and physical data models for all data structures
  • Communicate with application stakeholders throughout the IT organization
  • Provide performance related support to applications that access the RDBMS

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related degree from a college or university; Master’s degree preferred
  • 6+ years of information technology experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong DB2 UDB administration skills are required
  • Experience on Enterprise Level platforms
  • Working knowledge of NOonStop SQL/MX or ParAccel DB is a plus
