Independently evaluates patients, developes a treatment plan based on goal directed objectives, delivers/documents care, and provides D/C planning on all physician referred patients. Supervises and directs the treatment and activity of support staff. Performs tasks in compliance with the professional code of ethics, standards of practice, state/national regulations, hospital standards, and departmental policies/procedures.
Evaluates patient dysfunctions and limitations to develop an effective plan of care. Documents patient care in compliance with state/federal guidelines, hospital standards and department policies and procedures. Communicates relevant patient care information to the appropriate healthcare professional. Demomstrates professional interactions with physicians, therapist, clinicians and other departments.
Meets Missouri State licensure requirements by graduating from an accredited Speech and Language Pathology Program and successfully passing the national board exam.
Must register with the Missouri Family Care Safety Registry within 15 days of hire.
