Creative people around the world visit to find great deals on their favorite craft supplies. They stick around for project inspiration, great deals, and to discover new products. Blitsy is set on being a leader in selling craft supplies and providing a unique and compelling way for its members to receive deals alongside a community of other crafters.

Blitsy is seeking a Buyer/Sales Representative in our Chicago, IL office. The ideal candidate will be a go-getter that possesses entrepreneurial spirit and confidence in establishing and maintaining new relationships over the phone. There will be opportunities to travel to trade-shows, but primarily you’ll be hitting the phones and working alongside other talented sales professionals and the company’s founders.

The Blitsy Buyer/Sales Representative must be able to:

Work with vendors specialized in craft products
Build a portfolio of vendors and maintain long-term relationships
Grow product categories and sub-categories
Communicate the Blitsy value and selling method to potential suppliers
Select assortments of craft products relevant to the Blitsy consumer. Identify marketplace trends and source new product to ensure continued freshness in product offerings
Negotiate appropriate pricing structures, terms, and fulfillment methods with vendors
Drive sales through the selection of product, pricing, promotion for greatest return on investment
Manage weekly sales calendar and promotional events
Build ecommerce strategies to gain market share and drive revenue for the business
Identify opportunities for continued growth in the craft and hobby space
Partner with internal partners to establish long-term, viable business growth opportunities


Bachelors Degree
Must have a background in sales or buying
Passion for arts and crafts is a plus
Comfortable using Excel
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work well in a fast-paced team setting
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Strong interpersonal skills and positive mentality focused on member-first approach
Ability to remain flexible and willing to change strategies as business needs dictate
Ability to analyze reports and draw conclusions/recommendations
Understanding of merchandising financials, retail math and the ability to manage profitability
