Position Scope: Responsible for Full Logistical Pharmaceutical Meeting Planning.
Requires Sales & Operational Servicing of Key Account.

Overview: The job position focus is to be the sales representative to key account with the ability to achieve booking pace and client satisfaction goals. This position is both Sales and On-Site Operations. Requires both outside and inside sales performance. Requires minimum 50% domestic and international travel based on site inspection, on-site operation of meetings and client sales calls / meetings. Geographic knowledge and experience in all aspects of meeting planning. Ideal candidate will have experience in the hospitalty industry, meeting planning and understanding of a high level / five star service level. Existing Client References will be reviewed.

Skills Required

  • Proven success with cold calls, solicitation and prospecting
  • Proven success with meeting established yearly booking pace
  • Ability to build and maintain vendor relationships
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to sell to a specific demographic


  • Meeting Planning Industry knowledge
  • Travel Industry related experience
  • Experience with all aspects of meeting planning management: conference service management, attendee management, audio visual management, ground transportation, off-site events management
  • Customer service skills
  • Experience with contract negotiation


  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent customer service skills


  • Financial and budgeting understanding
  • Microsoft Excel worksheet experience, Word, Access, 2+ yrs.

Duties to Perform

  • Achieve monthly booking pace goals
  • Inside/Outside Sales responsibilities
  • Manage and develop client relationships
  • Research and write proposals to company standards
  • Develop initial program operating budgets
  • Ability to qualify business to the financial and operational goals
  • Create timely and proper response to all RFP’s
  • Provide consultative services to clients regarding meeting logistics, cost savings, venues, property selection
  • Conduct and maintain hotel sourcing processes
  • Negotiate hotel contracts and proposals
  • Communicate regularly with vendors and National Sales Reps
  • Serve as primary contact for client and account responsibility
  • Cultivate future business
  • Conduct site inspections and write recap
  • Document cost savings


  • Respond and address client service related issues and develop programs to ensure same issues do not reoccur
  • Manage client base Accounts Receivable
  • Direct Collateral Materials
  • Finalize Hotel Contracts
  • Responsible for on-site meeting success
  • Conduct program turnovers to Program Manager
  • Manage account in regard to improving processes, client expectations, budget analysis and cost savings
  • Manage room block management-revisions, attrition, cancels
  • Manage budget adherence and revision
  • Manage client and vendor contract adherence
  • Implement VIP programs & gifts on-site
  • Attend meetings to manage client and make sure PM is meeting company service standards
  • Customer service experience


  • Bachelor’s degree, prefer Hotel, Meeting Management
  • Three+ meeting planning industry experience
  • Three+ sales/marketing related experience
  • Hospitality industry experience extremely valuable
  • Experience in contract negotiation
  • Proven results in sales management
