The Special Events Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination and planning of special events. Each will be assigned specific site locations for event planning responsibility. Duties to include but are not limited to: research of vendors & supplying research information management for final selection; assisting with and obtaining contracts & signatures from vendors as required; merchandising support; preparation of all event invoices; follow-up to ensure payments have been made to all vendors in a timely manner; involvement with pre & post event e-mails & conference calls; and travel to event locations as required.
2+ years in a marketing or related field preferred
High school diploma
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field preferred
Should be able to communicate the insight and ideas effectively
Ability to effectively communicate and partner with management and peers
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong time management skills, team contributor, and detail oriented
Excellent interpersonal skills, analytical skills and problem-solving skills
Strong planning, organizational and project management skills
Computer skills including Outlook, MS Office suite of products
