Tucson Medical Center (TMC), a 612-bed, non-profit, community hospital seeks a Chief Medical Officer. This high profile position will have many responsibilities including relationship building and oversight of TMC’s 650 member medical staff and leading our quality initiatives throughout the organization. Candidates should be a board certified physician with at least 5 years of physician leadership/administrative experience in a large health system, preferably at the CMO level. In addition, the ideal candidate will have a proven track record and a passion for enhancing quality outcomes.Responsible for the strategic and operational medical leadership of TMC HealthCare. Ensure that the medical services provided are responsive to the community's and region's needs and integral to the achievement of TMCH's mission and values. Oversees system-wide quality care initiatives, payor contracting, physician recruitment, and medical staff functions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:
Doctor of Medicine degree.

PREFERRED: MBA

EXPERIENCE:
Ten (10) years of medical practice experience, including background in managed care operations, utilization review, quality management, risk management, and contracting. Experience as a hospital chief of staff.

LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION:
MD degree.
