A unique and exciting opportunity exists in Mercer’s Outsourcing Sales and Marketing team, for a
Sales Projects & Operations Manager
, based in either Sydney or Melbourne, to support the selling efforts of our outsourcing business in Australia and New Zealand.
As a pivotal member of the team, your role will be to help manage all sales opportunities in line with sales best practices and ensure smooth operations of the outsourcing Sales team to ensure delivery of compelling solutions to clients and prospects. Your daily responsibilities will include:
Providing effective project management to all sales opportunities by partnering with Sales Managers and other key stakeholders in the preparation and execution of all activities relating to prospect tenders.
Supporting the Sales Managers with Miller Heiman processes to ensure that all sales pursuits are fully developed and relevant action items are completed on time.
Managing project resources across multiple work streams; identifying and escalating issues where necessary to achieve results.
Assist in the managing of daily operational aspects of the team to ensure the team is fully aligned and working together towards annual sales goals.
Regular and ad-hoc reporting relation to team activity, key targets, pipelines, trends and other strategic marketing initiatives.
Championing the use of salesforce.com.
Successful candidates will possess:
Tertiary degree in a business or related discipline
A background in financial services, preferably within superannuation
Good organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills
Great multi-tasking skills; being able to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines
Strong business acumen with a good understanding of the superannuation marketplace
Very strong written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to influence key stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable when working towards solutions
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
