General Description of Job: Coordination of department certification projects and personnel to maintain schedules provided by the Manager of Engineering. Perform certification plans and misc. engineering reports to support certification projects.
REGULAR ASSIGNED DUTIES AND REQUIRED PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
Coordinate engineering certification projects with the personnel of the engineering department for a successful completed project. This function will include Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) projects. Ensure that the items in the project checklist are completed to the required specification. This will require: report writing, report reviewing, drawing, drawing checking/approval, and internal FAA DER communications.
2.Assist the Engineering staff.
Assist the engineering staff: provide drawing support, copy support, create technical report, create test plans, assist the configuration manager.
3.Review existing STC data.
Review existing STC to ensure the data is current and provide copies of those data package that are not. This is to comply with 21.303 STC data control and report FAA major and minor changes. Coordinate the review with the required DER (`9s assigned to the job
Rising Sophomore, Junior or Senior perusing a BS degree in engineering. Prefer Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Strong computer skills with MS Office (Word, Excel, and Access).
Strong communication skills and ability to professionally represent the engineering department
