This includes a weekly checkin / meeting with the Spiritual Leader and rehearsal of special musical presentations with congregants, guests, etc.
Direction of the worship team singers to make sure all service songs are delivered in a professional manner. This includes harmonies, preparation, rehearsals and appropriate dress/presentation skills of each worship team member. It also includes the coordination of backup singers as needed for soloists.
Coordinate, schedule, organize and interface with the Unity North Band for all Sunday service needs and requirements.
Coordinate, schedule, organize and interface with the Unity North Sound Team for all Sunday services needs and requirements.
Coordinate, schedule, organize and interface with the usher team for Sunday service needs and requirements. This includes interfacing with the Lead Service Volunteer.
Arrive on Sunday mornings to make sure the platform, stage area and sanctuary are prepared and ready, including turning on of air conditioners and lights, making sure placement of instruments and microphones is correct.
In the absence of the Spiritual Leader, this position is responsible for the order of service.
This position will serve as the Lead on the Choir Committee, and be the direct line of communication with the Spiritual Leader.
On choir Sundays, this person will serve as the coordinator and communication center for logistics beyond the performance of the music, i.e. seating, arrival time, professional presentation, etc.
In the absence of the Spiritual Leader / Choir Director, this position will rehearse and organize the choir at rehearsals.
One Sunday a month, this position will provide an ensemble ranging in size from a trio to a small choir ensemble that will serve as the special music for the day. This includes rehearsals to make sure the group is fully prepared.
Lastly, this person will produce and direct 1 Musical / Cabaret show a year as a means of raising funds to support the position. They
will be responsible for selection of music, singers, technical needs and staff.
For these duties, the Worship and Music Coordinator will be compensated $12,000.00 a year. It is estimated this position will require 20 hours or less per week. Minimum qualifications for this position include the ability to play the piano and read music. A High School diploma is required. The successful candidate will also possess strong leadership and organizational skills. Performance in this position will be reviewed every 3 months by the Spiritual Leader and Executive Director.
