The Applications Systems Analyst II provides technical support in the research and resolution of application issues, understanding and troubleshooting
back-end components of applications, including databases, operating systems, interfaces, and communication protocols. The Analyst will also lead project implementation plans, partner with vendors in the development of business requirements and the implementation of application functionality, and coordinate the completion of larger/more complex tasks with team members. The Analyst will create and maintain disaster recovery plans for assigned applications in collaboration with the systems infrastructure team. Conduct routine SQL maintenance. Perform database backups and restores, execute vendor scripts on applications and application database, and ensure backend databases remain available and performance.
This position will participate in on-call rotations to provide off-hours application support.
Associate's degree or equivalent certification/experience required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
3 to 5 years of relevant business application experience
Understanding of interfaces, operating systems, and databases
SQL database experience
Report writing experience
Experience with healthcare applications preferred
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management a plus
Knowledge/experience with coding classification systems (ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT) a plus
Experience with HDM a plus
Experience with Epic a plus
