This is a direct hire opportunity and the client is not interested in Consultants at this time; they're looking for candidates that are interested in staying with the company for at least 3-5 years. they understand this may limit the interest of some candidates, as many SAP experienced professionals are seasoned Consultants.

General Function:
This is a HANDS-ON role that will execute FICO configuration, functional documentation, testing plans and results, system documentation and training materials.
Responsibilities: The SAP Functional configuration analyst is expected to have expertise in General Ledger, Book Close, Tax, A/R, A/P, Consolidation, Cost elements, Profit Centers, Orders, Fixed Assets, Travel Expense, and other facets of the FI and CO modules. Guide business-users in utilizing SAP functionality to the best extent possible. Review business processes and system integration challenges. Extensive coordination with business-users in delivering and supporting SAP solutions. Prepare detailed functional specifications for development activities including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms. Assist in releasing break-fixes to production after testing and coordination of testing Adhere to good systems development methodology. Prepare project related documentation (object designs, business rules, technical information etc) during the different stages of the project.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree preferred. SAP FICO/PS certifications a big plus. At least 2 years of heavy SAP FICO configuration. Support and implementation experience in a business environment is preferred. Minimum of at least one full cycle SAP ERP implementation as a Business Analyst or Implementation Consultant. Proven ability to leverage SAP to support best practices. Great knowledge of finance and the management reporting area. Proven ability to excel in customer service; anticipate, meet and exceed expectations by solving problems quickly and effectively; making customer issues a priority. Solid understanding of business processes in and around all aspects of Sales and Distribution, Production, Planning, Materials Management and Finance in manufacturing environments. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
