Cards Sales & Marketing (CSM) is a newly formed group made up of Acquisition and Early Engagement Strategies, Channel Marketing, Customer & Sales Growth, Retention Strategies, Database Marketing and Customer Experience. The SVP, Existing Customer Marketing Strategy is a newly created role which will collaborate across the organization to ensure marketing messages are threaded throughout the customer's lifecycle by driving alignment between ATL and BTL and serve as the key liaison between Card Sales & Marketing and the GCMIO Advertising Teams. Key Responsibilities The SVP, 360 Marketing Strategy will be responsible for the following: • Drive the development of thru-the-line marketing strategy to support the acquisition, engagement and retention of customers with acceptable performance metrics (AAA's, ROI, ROTA) and managing to the vision of building a diversified spend centric portfolio critical to a thriving card business. • Ensure consistent and relevant value proposition message articulation, based on Customer needs and behaviors, are threaded throughout the customer lifecycle. • Provide strategic, creative and program management leadership on (1) offer strategy (pricing and incentives) across existing customer engagement marketing - looking by product, channel and impression type and (2) broadscale marketing tactics like Limited Time Offers • Manage a cross-functional governance forum and process that ensures all of our messaging is consistent, "hard-hitting in call-to-action", relevant for the target population and reflects the Citi Brand Promise of Reward and Recognition, Simplicity and Ease and Security. • Serve as key liaison in Card Sales and Marketing for all advertising programs, partnering with Citi Partners/Segment teams to ensure an aligned strategy across channels. • Interface with Finance/CFO, Segment/Product owners, GCMIO (Global Consumer Marketing and Internet Office), Decision Management, Risk, Legal, Business Practices, CCE to ensure all objectives are met. Qualifications • Candidate will have a minimum of 10+ years experience working in financial services, retail and/or consumer goods marketing • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or Marketing Management preferred • Proven strategic creative marketer with a strong results orientation • Strong customer focus and past achievement in applying a customer mindset to shape solutions and approach to realize marketplace potential and meet financial goals. • Experience developing and executing sales strategies to drive growth • Digital experience preferable Leadership Competencies • Highly capable in driving change and innovation to deliver growth • Comfort with risk taking to inspire a healthy test and learn environment • Ability to build strong networks and relationships across Cards, Consumer Banking and Citicorp • Possesses strong communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels of the organization • Analytical and conceptual thinker with ability to operate in "white space" • Strategic thinker with ability to influence others across the organization • Comfortable operating in a highly matrix, complex arena • Self aware with ability to adapt to various situations • Strong people manager with recognized ability to bring in, develop and export talent across the organization
