DESCRIPTION

Under moderate supervision, performs a wide variety of payroll processing functions and administrative activities in employment, compensation, employee relations, and related areas.

DUTIES

Essential Duties and Responsibilities --Establish, maintain, and update personnel files, including HRIS records.Review timecard hours ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable policies and regulations.Perform biweekly payroll input, output, balancing, file maintenance, and distribution in a accurate manner ensuring deadlines are met.Maintain HRIS and timekeeping system, and provide user assistance as needed.Prepare and transmit tax liabilities by critical IRS deadline.Prepare and distribute various reports, including monthly performance/salary reviews due, sales/referral incentive tracking, overtime reports, personnel changes, etc.Monitor past-due performance/salary reviews and notify supervisors as appropriate.Input salary changes and performance review information into payroll system.Process monthly incentive payroll including calculation of incentive pay.Prepare monthly commission reports for each commissioned real estate loan officer, which includes verifying worksheet data submitted via email to the core banking system.Track and deposit investment commission checks.Process deferred compensation payments as required.Verify benefits-related records to ensure accuracy and completeness as well as determine corresponding effect on payroll input/processing.Process payroll system quarter/year-end close and prepare related reports and tax returns, including preparation and distribution of W-2's by January 31 each year.Examine employee files to answer inquiries and provide information to authorized individuals.Provide assistance to employees regarding policies, procedures, and payroll-related inquiries.Solve problems within scope of responsibility.Maintain strict confidentiality of all employee information.Perform backup duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
