The iRobot Operations team is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Project Manager. In this role, you will manage manufacturing activities for NPI program to meet product delivery, cost, and quality objectives.

Essential Functions/ Job Duties:
Manufacturing representative to program core team.
Provides weekly manufacturing status, progress, and risks to program core team
Manufacturing point of contact for all program needs.
Drive program team members to meet manufacturing milestones
Manages the Manufacturing‘s Core Team
Provides weekly direction, and core team inputs and risks to Manufacturing team
Manage the execution of the team’s performance against program
Understand program requirements and disseminates into formal Manufacturing plans
Coordinates program needs into committed manufacturing team plans
Drives closure of Manufacturing tasks in support of the life cycle governance process
Identifies Manufacturing resource needs to support program and inputs requirements into Hyperion
Facilitates Manufacturing capital spend requirements
Communicates Manufacturing requirements and timeline to Program Management for inclusion into the program integrated program schedule
Identifies risks and mitigation potential for missed milestones
Creates and maintains a Manufacturing integrated schedule in support of the Program Schedule
Facilitates creation and approval of a Manufacturing Project Plan
Includes Materials, Build, Process, and Test plan creation and approval
Include reference to other Manufacturing areas: Quality, Logistics, Distribution
Keeps Manufacturing Plan updated to reflect scope changes
Facilitate DFx activities to achieve 100% resolution of Manufacturing issues
Drives BOM and Drawing reviews to assure accuracy and readiness
Drives on-going Manufacturing product cost analysis and estimates in support of product cost targets
Support product cost targets and drive Manufacturing cost-down opportunities at earliest time in the development cycle
Identifies, maintains, and drives to mitigation Manufacturing risks and issues to program
Drives Manufacturing readiness reviews to insure all Manufacturing functions are ready for next NPI cycle phase
Provides overall new product management of Contract Manufacturer planning and execution
Facilitates all E&O analysis and closure during the product’s NPI and early production cycle
Communicates weekly project status
Provides data and reports to support customer reporting requirements
Prepares and presents monthly Manufacturing project status
Tracks and presents NPI metric status
Ensure elements in place to insure a pleasant customer experience (ordering to shipment)
Work with logistics to understand aftermarket strategy, eg. FRU, depot, repair, reporting
Drives lessons learned activities
Creates and maintains NPI Manufacturing project evidential repository in Windchill
Engages Far East Manufacturing’s team and facilitates ‘pitch/catch’ model assuring seamless transition of new product to Far East production
Supports Far East Manufacturing’s sustaining activity by being the ‘voice of the factory’ back into the design community.

10 years experience as a Manufacturing New Product Introduction Project Management
Experience working in a Manufacturing Environment
Eperience working within a Manufacturing ‘turn key’ model utilizing Contract Manufacturers
Experience working in a Global Manufacturing Environment
Experience introducing both high volume and low volume products into manufacturing environment
Experience managing ODM and JDM programs
Experience managing Government programs
Bachelors Degree
Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point, Project
CPIM certification
