The Account Service Representative provides support services for prospective, new and existing employer group accounts as well as education, instruction and guidance to Brokers and assistance to the sales staff within the Marketing Department. This position is located in Springdale, Ar.

Additional Information PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Account Service Representative is responsible for the following:

*Direct liaison between client/broker, QualChoice Operations and account management. Provides service to brokers, benefit coordinators and business owners, ensuring the best possible resolution of problems.

*Assists sales staff in servicing sold accounts (assistance as needed with prospective accounts).

*Assists with all areas of presentation and follow up for new and renewing accounts.

*Develops understanding of rating formulas for group renewals.

*Prepares the group records and initiates the group setup process for new and renewing groups.

*Assists as a validation point for group set-up and renewal.

*Required face to face meetings monthly with brokers and groups.

*Participates in departmental special projects, routine meetings, etc.

*To be able to communicate and provide guidance to the clients/brokers in the industry on particular benefits and applicable regulations.

*Strong ability to identify appropriate resources for research and problem resolution.

*Track and trend issues to determine common issues that require process improvement

*Travel to customer locations for enrollment meetings and benefit fairs as needed-40% in state travel required during 4th quarter each year.

Highly organized individual with client focus and good decision making abilities •

Ability to multi task and work in a fast paced environment •

Excellent Written and Oral skills, including strong presentation and interpersonal skills •

Proficiency in Microsoft software applications, e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer •

Understanding of health insurance operations and systems •

Excellent customer service skills and ability to prioritize customer requests appropriately •

Knowledge of medical claims administration and employee benefits •

Human Resources or Benefits administration experience a plus

Basic Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent. One to three years experience in a marketing account support or customer service setting. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Must acquire state license in life and disability insurance within six months of employment.
