Supervises all activities related to the receipt, warehousing, distribution and transportation of materials and goods optimizing transit time, storage area capacity, cost and in compliance with all regulatory agencies.
•Supervises and coordinates the functions of receiving, sampling, warehousing, dispatching, and distribution in the most efficient and cost effective manner.
•Maintain the Shipping, Receiving, Traffic, Warehouse and Import/Export operations in compliance with all internal and external regulations, such as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), OSHA, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), OGA, Safety, Security, Environmental Compliance Policies and guidelines and US Customs Department.
•Complies with TSA and Dangerous Goods regulations.
•Maintains Corporate Standards in terms of Inventory Record Accuracy of all inventories under the custody of the location Warehouse.
•Maximizes trailer weight and cube utilization from our international, domestic suppliers and customers.
•Assures that required documentation and procedures are followed.
•Monitors timely processing of Rejected Material destruction and ensures any waste material (hazardous or special waste) is managed complying with all applicable regulations.
•Supports the preparation of warehouse budget. Monitors and controls it.
•Assures that all personnel assigned to the Department carry-out their duties in a safe way so as not to endanger their own safety, the safety of others and Pfizer Operations property.
•Responsible for compliance with all applicable safety rules, regulations, and procedures that guarantee own safety and the safety of area colleagues. Must participate in appropriate training and other safety related activities in support of the Company Safety Programs.
oBachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering, BS, or Business Administration
oMinimum of 3 years of experience in Manufacturing and/or Materials Management with exposure to the areas of manufacturing, warehousing, distribution and quality assurance.
oSupervisory experience is desirable.
• OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
oSolid knowledge of Materials Management procedures and regulations
oKnowledge of import/export regulations
oComputer literate (Word, Excel, Power Point)
oExcellent communication skills (verbal and written)
oFully bilingual (Spanish & English)
oExcellent conflict management skills
oAnalytical and task oriented with strong interaction skills
