The role of the Account Resolution Specialist is to provide “Extraordinary Care” to patients and customers through friendly, caring, courteous, and professional services. A successful Account Resolution Specialist has a broad understanding of billing and account handling processes and the ability to resolve complex issues in a timely and accurate manner. The Account Resolution Specialist works to facilitate resolution of patient accounts by working with insurance companies, government agencies, and patients in the payment for services that have been provided. The Account Resolution Specialist has the opportunity to use their valuable skills and resources by responding to questions, researching discrepancies, and following Intermountain’s policies and procedures. Completing these duties provides the Account Resolution Specialist the opportunity to truly make a difference in the lives of many on a daily basis.

Shift Details: This is a Mon-Fri full time position. Schedule will be 9:30am to 6:00pm
Department: Acct Billing and Registration - North
Four or more years general customer service experience OR two or more years medical admitting, billing, collection or insurance experience OR two or more years of customer service experience in an office or other professional environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience managing multiple tasks or priorities
Demonstrated typing proficiency
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Knowledge of medical terminology
Versed in CPT/ICD-9 codes
